“The media is always changing which makes this subject so exciting to study. My passions lie in the development of sociological theories and applying them to media products, exploring how people interpret and consume media. As part of the course you will be required to create a full pre-production plan to help you to make your very own film. The course is split into 2 exams and 2 units of coursework. There is also an opportunity to go to New York “

“After visiting other colleges, I decided to choose Rainhill Sixth due to the small class sizes as this gave me more one to one time with teachers which really developed my learning. I chose media due to the diverse knowledge it gave me. Learning about different world issues, for example racism and male gaze theory and how they are used in the media world helped me to understand these issues and how they are prominent in our society today.”
